Gizmo's Quest

You have descended from the utopian society you call home into the depths, where buried, ancient ruins of a past civilization lie in wait. Why would you do this? Well, t is customary for youth to travel here when they come of age, to learn of humanity's past mistakes by seeing the apocalyptic consequences of their greed and hatred with their own eyes. And it just so happens to be your turn.

But do not be afraid, as you have been issued your own Gizmo as a traveling companion! He will keep you company as you make your way through the caverns, find keys and upgrades to aid in navigation, and run away from the still active and very hostile security robots of this ancient ruined city.

Your objective is to retrieve two keycards (blue and red), then find the power jump and power grip: two abilities that will be crucial in aiding your return to the surface! So delve deep and explore, so that you can find the means to climb to the top of the cavern and reemerge from the long-buried ruins of the past into which you had been thrust.

Controls:

Attacks didn't make it into the game unfortunately, though you will see the label in the menu!

ENTER to open menu, ESC to exit, BACKSPACE to restart LEFT-RIGHT, A or D, NUMPAD 4 or 6 to change controls in pause menu CONTROLLERS supported (in theory!) JUMP and LEDGE GRAB can only be used after finding the abilities! LEDGE GRAB is toggled off by default when you pick it up!

A lot of features went missing due to time constraints; Believe it or not, this is our first 3D game! It was a huge challenge but also an amazing learning opportunity, and even though we did not include everything we wanted (the player is not able to attack, there was an entire third area that had to be cut, a wall climbing ability, and plenty of bugs) we are very happy with and proud of the results. We hope you enjoy going through this little game!
